Aerospace Applications
The Gund Company family of companies all manufacture custom components from thermoset composite materials. An SBA qualified "Small Business", The Gund Company focuses on custom composite solutions with the shortest lead-times in the industry.
Short Lead-Time Custom Composite Components Solutions
One of the most common applications for thermoset materials is electrical insulation for power systems equipment. In aerospace applications such as the flap drive motor armature insulator at left, The Gund Company started manufacturing components such as DC motor and avionic power supply insulation. Today, we manufacture a wide range of composite components using the following process capabilities:
- Thermoset Laminate Manufacturing
- Compression Molding
- Composite Pultrusion
- Flexible Composite Converting & Laminating
- Composite Fabrication, Machining & Assembly
Our unique combination of both composite raw material manufacturing and finished component fabrication capability allows us to produce custom composite solutions for a wide range of aerospace applications.
TGC fabricates advanced composites such as these honeycomb Kevlar® and phenolic resin composite panels with precision and extremely responsive lead-times. Our lead-times are expressed in days instead of weeks or months.
Our technical knowledge of thermoset composites and electrical insulating materials as well as our years of application experience allow TGC to function as an effective source of composite component solutions.
Our companies include:
- The Gund Company, Inc. - Saint Louis, Missouri
